Innovative French Cuisine In Dubai Doesn’t Get Better Than This

French cuisine is well known as being one of the most popular and classical in the world. This, however, makes it difficult to innovate and allow creativity to flow as one can often face a fair amount of resistance and criticism when they go ‘against the norm’. As a destination that’s so multicultural and diverse, French cuisine in Dubai is not as hard to come by as in other countries. But if one is searching for culinary experiences that are creative yet authentic, finding a spot that hits all the right spots can be a harder task.

What sets Trouvaille apart and makes it such an exciting find is that we’ve managed to create that balance. Because we’ve fused our concept style with Lebanese dishes, we’ve been able to innovate while still honouring the traditions of both cultures.

What are the characteristics of French Cuisine in dubai?

First things first, there’s no real set of defined characteristics that one can say is decidedly French. Of course, there are certain things such as croissants and baguettes that are stereotypically French. But apart from that, characteristics will vary by region. For example, southern regions will feature flavours rich in garlic, mushrooms and herbs. But in the north, cuisine typically consists of country-style dishes full of dairy, sausage, and beer.

Our take on French cuisine in Dubai incorporates elements that one would expect to find across many regions. This includes:

  • Fondue: A traditional Swiss dish prepared from pieces of cheese, thermally melted in a special pot/caquelon to a creamy consistency. It’s eaten by dipping pieces of hard/toasted bread into the creamy cheese sauce with special fondue forks. While its origins are in Switzerland, eastern regions of France – which it borders – have adopted it and made it it’s own
  • Boeuf Bourguignon: A dish typical to the central-east of France in the region of Burgundy. It’s a beef stew braised and reduced with beef stock, onions, thyme, mushrooms, tomatoes, and carrots
  • Ratatouille: A French Provençal stewed vegetable dish, originating in Nice on the south coast of France. For this reason, it’s often referred to as Ratatouille Niçoise. Common ingredients include tomato, garlic, onion, courgette, aubergine and a combination of leafy greens
  • Pâtisserie: French pastries are ubiquitous throughout France, but most commonly associated with the Parisienne lifestyle of the north. At Trouville, expect to have your taste buds and sweet tooth tantalized by more than just patisserie such as the classic Mille Feuille. Classics such as Crème Brûlée, eclairs, chocolate soufflé are on the menu too and so perfect as they are that no re-invention was needed.

French-Lebanese Cuisine: A Match Made In Heaven

As previously mentioned, French cuisine in Dubai isn’t that hard to come by. Neither is French cuisine that honours the traditions and regions that it comes from. However, cuisine that can be served alongside that of a different country (i.e. Lebanon) which has a different flavour profile of its own is a little trickier.

That we’ve managed to pull this off at Trouville french restaurant is a point of pride, and an experience you’ll want to appreciate for yourself. Come visit us and allow us to take you on a culinary throughout different regions of France – we’d love to have you!
